Guide for Mobility
06/06/2021Criteria for Mobility
06/06/2021Academic mobility refers to students, academic and non/academic staff in the area of higher education, going to another institution of higher education in their own or a foreign country to conduct a part of the study program (one or two semesters), that is, to teach or have training at another HEI. Student mobility can be implemented at all study levels and staff mobility enclose academic and non-academic staff.
HEIs from Programme countries submit mobility projects to their National agency and if selected, they enable following mobility activities:
Student Mobility:
- a study period in a programme/partner country abroad lasting between 2 and 12 months
- traineeships (work placements, internships, etc.) abroad for students currently enrolled in higher education institutions in Programme countries. These opportunities are also open to recent graduates. You can also combine your Erasmus+ traineeship with a study period abroad.
Staff Mobility:
- teaching periods – staff deliver teaching at another HEI abroad
- training periods – staff undertake a training event or undergo job shadowing/observation
Funding can be used to support staff engaged in both HEI teaching (minimum of 8 hours of teaching per week) and non-teaching activities. Staff mobility activities can last from 2 days to 2 months, excluding travel time.
Erasmus Mundus Joint Master programs
This program offers an opportunity to acquire higher education in different cultural settings. Students from all over the world that have earned a BA’s degree may apply to some of the available Erasmus Mundus Joint Master programs.
The European Union supports financial mobility programs in parts related to supporting candidates from various underrepresented groups (inclusion), in activities that include environmentally green transport methods (Green Erasmus), while promoting the use of mobile applications (Erasmus+ App) and Erasmus without paper (EWP).
